Five Fun Things To Do This Weekend

Ok, here goes!

Saturday and Sunday Chef’s Catalogue warehouse is having a huge sale.

Drop your lady off there and then go to The Hub Diner and Car Wash and get that crap off your car. What is that stuff anyway??? It might rain this weekend and if so, the car wash won’t be open. But you can still get some breakfast or lunch. We haven’t been there so let us know how it is!

If you’ve got your kids with you (or even if you don’t), head on up to Adventure Golf for some miniature golf. It’s fun! Mini golf starts at $5 per person for one game. You can also get cheaper replays, and packages of two or three games so you can play all three courses. We  played the Wild West course.

After working up an appetite playing serious golf, you can go over to Squeak Soda Shop for a grilled cheese sandwich and some ice cream.  We went there the other day and thought it was pretty good but is probably a lot better for kids than adults- except for the adults in there that were acting like kids, and not in a good way. Mike is going to post a review of Squeak Soda Shop  pretty soon here, so check back, and if you go, be sure to comment and let us know what you think.

If you’re getting tired and need a drink, with or without the kids, go down to Cowboys- Sunday is family day- they have line dancing lessons from 5:00 to 8:30 and Happy Hour from 4-7. There are small cover charges (different prices depending on age) but it’s not too bad, especially considering the Happy Hour drink prices include $2 bottled domestic beer, 2 for 1 drafts and mixed drinks, and then $3 mini pitchers from 7-midnight. Please be sure to check their website for current prices and specials because they do change a lot.  They also have ok food if you want to have dinner.  We’ve been to Cowboys lots of times but never taken the line dancing lessons so be sure to let us know how they are in the comments!

Have a great weekend!
