Go for a walk around Colorado College

Everyone knows about Colorado College downtown. But have you actually been over there and walked around? There are lots of really old buildings to wander around and the grounds are really pretty. Looks like there’s even a walking tour.

These interesting tree like sculptures are on the corner of Cache Le Poudre and Cascade.

Shove Memorial Chapel is really neat. It was built in 1930. You can grab a pamphlet inside and take a self-guided tour.

Afterwards you can go to nearby Wooglin’s Deli for a drink or a snack. It has a very “student union-y” vibe to it but that will be OK since you’ve just been hanging out at college. Plus their food is really good.

Last summer I happened to come in during one of the Open Mic nights and it was actually really good. I went back a couple months ago but it wasn’t happening. Maybe it’s more of a summer thing.

They even have a weekly Open Mic Night.
