Il Vicino on Tejon St. downtown is a fun place to have a meal. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. I like to sit outside (of course!). It is a chain restaurant, but it has a great location and the food is good.
They have a huge menu- probably around 40 items! I’ve had their pizzas, pastas, soups, and sandwiches, and their pizzas are by far the best things to have there. Woodfired, fancy-ish pizzas with an assortment of the usual and also some more interesting toppings. You know the kind. Their panini sandwiches are also good but not nearly as good as their pizzas.
They also have a few beers and well-priced wines including my fave Di Majo Norante Sangiovese an organic red wine from Italy.
Il Vicino is a nice place to go hang out, sit on the patio, have some drinks and some food that isn’t bar food (not that there’s anything wrong with bar food!). So go check it out while the weather is still warm!
