I’m always looking for new appetizer ideas. If I had my way, apps are all I’d ever eat. My brother had some ricotta and honey apps recently at some fancy restaurant so I decided to try and recreate them. Apparently they weren’t quite right, but still, they were delicious.
Just stir up some ricotta cheese till it’s nice and creamy. Spread it onto some toasted baguette slices, then swirl some honey over the tops. I guess the way my brother had it, the honey and the ricotta was already mixed up and you spread it on the toasts yourself. Either way would be good.
I served this with some cashews, black seedless grapes, and some blackberries. The ricotta and honey is kind of sweet so I felt it needed some sweetish accompaniments. Olives or anything garlicky would not have worked, I don’t think.
