So, from time to time I bake. I had heard when I first got here that things are different up here at 6200 feet and that I’d need to make some changes. I never had much problem till I tied to make red velvet cupcakes. They exploded then sank (they were still delish). I asked around and [...] All three of my computers broke recently. The netbook got a new harddrive so I lost all that data, the sony laptop is still dead- I think there are pics on it. The desktop was recovered but there weren’t that many pictures on it. Anyhow I was waiting to see how many pictures I could find [...] The night we got to LA we went out to USC to have drinks with dangermike”s friend Andrew who was out here for work. I think the bar was called something like The Lab. I don’t remember. As DM pointed out, it was way too bright in there. But they were playing Jeopardy on the TV [...] On Saturday we went up to Buena Vista for river rafting. I didn’t take any pics cuz i didn’t want to get my camera wet. it was fun, tho! Gotta take pics of the cool old signs! Dinner in Gunnison. I can’t remember the name of the place. I guess [...] This weekend we went all the way across the state to do some camping, wine tasting, and hiking. It was fun! We took I70 which goes all the way up to 12,000 feet in elevation. I didn’t get as much altitude sickness as I usually do, so yay. We went thru the mile and a half tunnel, [...] |
