Home Cookin!

Some things I’ve made lately.

Chocolate chip cookies from Joy of Cooking, which is by far the best recipe out there, way better than Toll House. Also instead of using regular chocolate chips I used these yummy little dark chocolate disks by Felchlin that I chopped up a little. Super tasty.

Palm Springs, Roscoe's, Escena Golf Club, Copley's

I spent a few days in Palm Springs with The ‘Rents and my brother. We stayed at the Horizon Hotel which is a fun mid-century modern hotel near downtown. It has a neat old history and I always love that.

Drifter's Hamburgers, Nosh, Squeak, Alice's, Red Martini Colorado Springs and Deluxe Burger, Denver

Drifter’s Hamburgers in Colorado Springs. Really good. Sorta like In N Out but better fries.  For some unknown reason they don’t have their hours or their address on their website. DUH. Anyway, I think they’re open till about 9pm and they’re located at  4455 Mark Dabling Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80907
